The transition from education to employment remains one of the most critical phases in a young person’s journey. Bridging the gap between academic knowledge and workplace readiness is essential in preparing graduates to thrive in an increasingly competitive and dynamic job market. It is within this context that the Equip–World Ready Employability Workshop 2.0 was successfully hosted at Mukuba University.
The workshop brought together students eager to gain practical insights into the world of work, equipping them with the tools, mindset and confidence required to navigate their career paths effectively. The atmosphere was one of engagement and enthusiasm, reflecting a shared commitment to personal and professional growth.

A key highlight of the workshop was the facilitation by Mrs Rokiatou Masethe, Chief Executive Officer of SilverRose Staffing Agency. Drawing from her extensive experience in recruitment and workforce development, she delivered a session that was both insightful and highly practical. Her approach combined real-world examples with actionable strategies, enabling students to better understand employer expectations, workplace dynamics and the skills necessary to stand out in today’s job market.

Participants were guided through essential topics such as employability skills, professional conduct and strategies for successfully transitioning into the workplace. The session not only provided knowledge but also inspired a renewed sense of purpose among the students, many of whom left feeling empowered and ready to pursue emerging opportunities with confidence.

The success of the workshop underscores the importance of collaborative efforts between educational institutions and industry professionals in shaping a workforce that is both competent and adaptable. Initiatives like the Equip–World Ready Employability Workshop play a vital role in nurturing talent and preparing young people to contribute meaningfully to society.
As the momentum continues to build, there is great anticipation for future engagements. The journey toward developing a generation that is confident, capable and truly World Ready is well underway—and this workshop marks yet another significant step forward.
More Employability Workshops are on the horizon, promising even greater impact and opportunities for growth.
